IDS is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established early in 2019; this organization originated from Africa Inland Church Tanzania Diocese of Mara and Ukerewe (AICT-Mara). AICT-Mara is a faith-based organization that provides spiritual and physical services.AICT-Mara remains a trustee organ of IDS and its nationwide integrated community development programs. We work with communities and other development partners to tackle the complex challenges of poverty in Tanzania.

To develop endeavors and empower communities to overcome poverty, ignorance, and diseases and to advocate for human rights.
Being split from the Africa Inland Tanzania Diocese of Mara and Ukerewe, IDS is an experienced NGO in community development programs, and it believes that poverty is not God’s plan and an end to extreme poverty is possible.
We respond quickly to natural and man-made disasters, supporting those in greatest need throughout the recovery process.
We partner with international and local organizations through consortiums or any other collaboration strategies, mobilizing resources and empowering communities to lift themselves out of poverty under the following themes: Health, Nutrition and Social Welfare; Environment and Agriculture [Nutrition Sensitive Agriculture and Food Security] ; Gender Mainstreaming ; Self-help groups
We work directly, and/or alongside people in underserved communities in more than 20 communities to tackle complex poverty in the following ways:
We help individuals and churches speak out on issues of poverty and injustice, and we challenge unjust policies and practices at local, national, and global levels.
